When carpeting a new room, be it a classroom, office, surgery or reception area you need to give some serious thought to the colour. Have a look around you and note the key colours that are already in play in the room you are planning to carpet; do you have a boldly painted door? Are your office chairs a strong and bold colour? Do you have pieces of artwork on the walls that are bright and colourful? You carpet needs to complement the colours that are already in situ - get this wrong and you could create a clash that throws the harmony of the room completely off balance.
The good news is that we have developed our carpet collections in a variety of colourways so you have a high chance of choosing a carpet that suits your room perfectly. All our collections feature multiple colourways, so you can be confident that there will be something that is suitable from both a durability and design point of view.
We are finding customers are coming to us with increasingly more creative and design-led ideas that revolve primarily around colour. One such client needed new carpet tiles for their open plan office and came to us with their corporate colour theme, which was lime green and black. They wanted to move away from the grey tiles that had been laid a few year prior and really wanted to visually lift the floor space with the addition of colour.
Our Alpha Tech range made the ideal starting point and the colourway Fresh Lime 2553 was suggested.
Birch Velour was another option, with Fern 0809 being a strong contender.
Finally, we suggested the client have a look at Nova Tech in Green 42370 as the speckled design is a great hider of dirt and spills!
With swatches in hand the client went away to have a play around with each tile and settled on Fresh Lime from the Alpha Tech range. They felt it complemented their lime green doors and chairs perfectly and having seen the results we are inclined to agree!
After the carpet had been fitted the client contacted us to say ,
"A big thanks to the team at Birch Carpets. You listened to us when we came to you for some inspiration for our office. We have now replaced what was a quite frankly tired and dirty looking carpet with something that is really quite special. Amazingly the room feels bigger and certainly much brighter. We have avoided a colour clash with our (very, very) bright green doors and chairs and are extremely happy with our choice."
They supplied us a photo to show us how the two shade of green have combined so well together. Have a look and let us know if you agree!
